Our Bernedoodle Moms and Dads are all F1 and F1b, first generation Doodle from a Bernese Mountain Dog mated with a Standard Poodle. Again, with genetic testing, we can strive to produce puppies without the genetics for diseases that end the lives of dogs, far too young. So we decided to start with 1st generation parents and more in-depth health and genetic testing on them.  Each of our breeding dogs have unrelated parents. An added bonus—Having always wanted a Bernese, but living in such a warm climate, it wasn’t fair to the dog. The doodle version allowed us to welcome them, and with the doodle lighter coat, they thrive in our warm weather!
